Thank you for visiting my blog today. Originally it was started in 2006 as a way to chronicle our overseas adventure, but it has turned into a place where I share my heart after my husband's untimely death at the age of 40. You can read more about his brief, but fierce battle with a rare cancer on his caring bridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/rob_murphy.

Klondike is a yearly Boy Scout campout that happens in Kanderstag, Switzerland. It is usually over the long weekend in January. The boys participate in challenges and contests, and there's always a day for outdoor wintersports like skiing or sledding. Noah always chooses sledding, but it's not sledding like you're thinking - they actually take a SKI LIFT up to the top of the mountain and sled down for about 15-20 minutes going at outrageous speeds. This year Rob agreed to be one of the drivers for the boys and so he got to go as well. He started getting sick, but still managed to get these few pictures and make it once down the hill on a sled.
