Happy Scottish American Day!
Actually, tomorrow Tuesday, April 6th is Tartan Day if you want to be technical.. It is also the day of Noah's FIRST ever Boy Scout "Court of Honor" ceremony. (which is a time to recognize all the work each Scout and the Troop has done over the past few months like earning merit badges, rank advancement, camping trip or hikes—all in front of the Scout’s families.) The boys decided on a Scottish theme for the reception and Noah's patrol was in charge of desserts. So, other than Lorna Doones I was a little stumped as to what to bring. Noah looked up Scotland and we started playing with ideas that would incorporate Noah's favorite Scottish contribution, The Loch Ness Monster. Here is what we came up with:
