Cub Scout Camp June 25th - 29th
Cub Scout Camp was the week of June 25 -29. It was a great time, as usual, despite the rain, cooler temperatures, and lack of sleep. The camp this year was held up on Sembach base, which is about a 30 minute drive from our house. The camp was really well organized and ran very smoothly. It just rained almost every day and since it was all outdoors that made it very....... um...... well, let's say interesting. The camp was every day from 8 AM - 4 PM. The boys earned so many achievements and belt loops, it would be impossible to list everything here. The highlight (As always) for Noah (and Rob) was Archery and BB gun shooting.
Look at that form!!! Despite the odd way he shoots he hit a few bulls-eyes and shot really well this year.
Rob worked at a lot of the stations, but his favorite was "ropes and knots". Krissie was a den leader for the "sibling den". Volunteers' daughters who were scout age got to walk around in a den of their own and do all the things the cub scouts did. This picture was taken during the sibling den's turn at the ropes and knots station.
Sarah and some of her Girl Scout troop volunteered in the tot-lot. The tot lot had about 20 of the volunteer's little guys, including Micah. They ranged in age from 2-5, and being trapped in a tent for most of the 5 days while it rained was quite a challenge.
Notice our attire, typical Germany weather for the end of June.
