Camping with the Boy Scouts

It's the weekend before we move. Are we home packing? No we are out camping!!
Noah's Wolf Den had a joint camp out with a Bear Den on Friday April 20th - Saturday April 21st. Daddy and Noah actually camped over night in a tent (we had to borrow, because we don't own one!). It got pretty chilly, but they braved the elements thanks to the always be prepared motto (in this case mink blankets courtesy of Korea).
The boys had so much fun and earned so many belt loops, arrow points, and achievements. A few of things they learned about were hiking safety, world conservation, maps & compasses, planting, astronomy, knots, and cooking.

The morning flag ceremony.Hiking (Noah is pretending his walking stick is a "blaster", ever the star wars boy)

Learning maps and compasses; learning to tie knots (that's Rob teaching)

Being the little brother of a cub scout has its advantages. Micah ate S'mores until he burst while the boys were away from the fire.
